Indian shelling injures two
MIRPUR: Two civilians including a woman were injured by Indian shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) into Janjote Bahader village in Kotli district, police said on Thursday.
The Indian shelling started at 11.30am injuring Fazeelat and her 15-year-old son Iftikhar Ahmed, said Kotli Superintendent of Police Raja Muhammad Razaq Khan. Both wounded were admitted to Kotli District Hospital.
The Indians used mortars and medium artillery and which hit civilian areas along the LoC, the SP said, adding the shelling continued continuing intermittently, according to the latest reports.
Police said they also received reports about fresh firing by the Indian army form across the LoC on various villages in Samani sector in AJK’s Bhimbher district.
Police said no casualties were reported in Samani sector. —APP
