PPP to support govt for the cause of democracy
RAWALPINDI: The PPP will support the government from the platform of the ARD to protect democracy, said former senator Asif Ali Zardari. “The PPP is ready to join every effort for the continuity of 80 percent democracy since we have to protect the system,” Mr Zardari told journalists on Tuesday. He said that the government had failed to maintain law and order in Karachi. The MQM would have to render unprecedented sacrifices if a decision on the return of Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad is taken, he said. He said that if the governor had to resign he should resign in Pakistan. He said that the emergence of the new PPP following the merger of PPP-Sherpao and PPP-Patriots would not make any difference. online
