Staff Report

LAHORE: The horsemen of Army Blues UCH won the SHV Aibak Cup polo on Sunday.

In the final played at the Aibak Ground of the Lahore Polo Club, they outscored Army Whites FWO 4–3 (2-1, 3-2, 3-3, 4-3). For the third position, Bank Alfalah defeated Royal Fans 8–3 (1-1, 3-3, 7-3, 8-3).

Both the Army teams started with equal team handicaps, 14 goals.

Nauman Wasif scored a filed goal. For the Whites, Jorge Donovan scored all the three goals. Donovan scored a 60-yard hit, a spot hit from near the goal and a filed goal.

Earlier, the riders of Bank Alfalah dominated Royal Fans throughout the match. Simba scored a goal in the first chuuker for Royal Fans who got two more goal through Tomas Goty in the second chukker. During the last half of the game, Royal Fans seemed shying away from the scoreboard.
