Sialkot thrash Peshawar in Quaid Trophy
SIALKOT: Sialkot thrashed Peshawar by seven wickets in the Quaid-e-Azam Cup match played at the Jinnah Stadium here on Sunday.
Invited to bat first, Peshawar scored 246 for nine in the stipulated 50 overs. Yasir Hameed scored 59 with the help of six fours and Wajahat Ullah Wasti 69 with nine fours. Both players from the Peshawar side played excellent and provided a strong footing to their side. Shoaib Khan and Ahmad Said scored 32 and 29 respectively.
In reply, Sialkot scored 248 for three in 42.1 overs. From the Sialkot side, Fasial Naveed and Qaiser Abbas played a fine knock and thrashed the blowers of Peshawar. Fasial Naveed played an extraordinary fine inning and scored 90 with eleven 4s. Qaiser Abbas also scored 92 with help of 10 fours and Shahzad Malik with five remained not out. —APP
