Russia hopes Indo-Pak talks will continue

NEW DELHI: Billing the resumption of dialogue between Pakistan and India an important positive move, Russia hoped on Friday that both countries would demonstrate a “political will” to continue the process aimed to strengthen regional security.

“Important positive moves are taking place in South Asia. A political dialogue between New Delhi and Islamabad has recommenced,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in Almaty while addressing the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia (CICA). “We hope that both sides will show political will and continue the process started in the interest of strengthening regional stability and security,” Mr Lavrov told a ministerial meeting of the 17-member CICA. app
