Woman offers Penn her bed

A worker at a luxurious Spanish hotel says Sean Penn can sleep in her bed if he supports employees in a pay dispute. Penn is among a number of actors who are due to stay at the £250-a-night Maria Cristina hotel in San Sebastian during the San Sebastian film festival.

One chambermaid said if Penn and other stars showed their solidarity, she would invite them to stay in her flat. “He can come and stay with me instead,” she said. “He can come into my bed if he wants ...”

Many stars remain in the hotel, despite having to make their own beds, but union leaders hope Penn, who often champions the underdog, won’t cross the picket line.

Staff have walked out on the hotel’s US owners after a long-running pay dispute, says The Guardian. —Ananova
