NA meets today
ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly session resumes today at 4.30pm. The Assembly sitting, to be presided over by Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain, will continue its debate on the president’s address, which took place on January 17.
The Opposition is expected to raise the Wana issue during the session. Meanwhile, in order to run the session in a congenial atmosphere, Mr Hussain has also called a meeting of the House Business Advisory Committee at his chamber at 3pm. Central representatives of both opposition and treasury benches have been invited to attend the meeting. However, separate meetings of the parliamentary parties, both opposition and treasury, will also be held before the start of the session. —Online
