Rashid calls on Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Sheikh Rashid called on President Musharraf on Monday and discussed the political scenario.

He told the president about development programmes in Rawalpindi, with special reference to the planned construction of a modern hospital costing Rs 1 billion. Sheikh Rashid also told the president that a site for an Information Technology university in Rawalpindi had been marked. He also told the president about the problems being faced by the residents of the Cantonment Board area. The president appreciated the development programmes being carried out in Rawalpindi. app
