No foreigners in Mehsud areas, says Abdullah
Daily Times Monitor
LAHORE: Militant tribal leader Abdullah Mehsud has denied there are any foreign militants hiding in Mehsud territory, the BBC Urdu Service reported on Sunday.
Speaking from an undisclosed location, Mehsud said his tribe had no links with Osama Bin Laden or any other foreign militants. “We know nothing about them,” he said. “Why don’t you ask the ISI and the US intelligence agencies, who are well informed about these people?” He said the government had reconciled with the Ahmadzai Wazir tribe because there were no foreigners in Wazir areas. He said he did not want to fight the Pakistan Army. “I am just defending myself against the military operation,” he said.
