ICHRP holds dialogue on human rights

LAHORE: A dialogue on ‘Reflections on democracy, political violence and human rights’, arranged by the International Council on Human Rights Policy (ICHRP), was held at a local hotel on Friday.
Participants discussed the situation of human rights in Thailand and Nepal in particular and in the world in general due to the US war on terror. Asma Jahangir, the chairperson of the council, gave the welcome address. Charlotte Bunch from New Jersey, Stefanie Grant from Geneva, Imrana Jalal from Pacific Region, Walter Kalin from Switzerland, Ian Martin from Haiti, and other ICHRP members participated in the discussion. The discussion was followed by a question-answer session.
