Muslims sue US over detentions

NEW YORK: Five American Muslims filed a federal lawsuit on Wednesday alleging violation of their constitutional rights by US border agents who detained them as they returned from an Islamic conference in Canada. The three men and two women say they were held for more than six hours and interrogated, along with dozens of other American Muslims, after telling customs officials that they had attended an annual conference in Toronto entitled “Reviving the Islamic Spirit.” afp
