LHC adjourns election petition against MPA

LAHORE: An election tribunal of the Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned evidence on an election petition seeking the disqualification of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA Tahir Akhtar Malik from PP-124.

The court will hold further proceedings next week.

Zulfiqar Ghuman, who lost the October 2002 general elections to Malik, alleged that the MPA was not a graduate and so had not been eligible to contest the elections.
