GCU honours Ashfaq Ahmed and Imtiaz Ali

LAHORE: Government College University (GCU), Lahore has arranged a detailed discussion tomorrow (Wednesday) to commemorate renowned scholar, intellectual, author and playwright late Ashfaq Ahmad. The event will be held in GCU’s Bokhari Auditorium.

Ashfaq Ahmad’s widow Bano Qudsia will preside the function, while noted writer Intizar Hussain will be the special guest. Other speakers include A Hameed, Masud Azhar, Riaz Mehmud, Mustanser Hussain Tarrur, Muhammad Qavi Khan and Firdus Jamal.

Meanwhile, GCU is also holding a seminar titled ‘Mulana Imtiaz Ali Khan Arshi – Life and Works’ in collaboration with the Quid-e-Azam Library today. The seminar will be held in the library’s Iqbal Hall. The dean of Arts, GCU Urdu Department will preside the function.
