PbBC receives 224 complaints in 2003-04

LAHORE: The Punjab Bar Council (PbBC) received 224 complaints about lawyers in 2003-04 and 95 appeals moved by lawyers are pending before a council tribunal.

The council received complaints about 123 lawyers from the Lahore division, 30 from Multan, 19 from Rawalpindi, 18 from Gujranwala, 15 from Bahawalpur, four from Faisalabad, four from Dera Ghazi Khan and three from Sargodha. Of the pending appeals, 39 are from lawyers in Lahore, 19 from Faisalabad, 10 from Gujranwala, 10 from Bahawalpur, nine from Rawalpindi, five from Multan and three from Sargodha. staff report
