Company director nabbed
LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Punjab arrested Haroon Ahmad, director of Rauf International Advisory Services for his failure to return money collected from the public through fraud, said an announcement on Thursday.
The announcement said the company directors had requested NAB to provide them protection to repay the public money.
“In larger public interest and to recover the money of at least 3,400 families, amounting to at least Rs 2.6 billion, the directors were provided time, protection and necessary facilities,” it added.
During past five months, they presented three plans but each time they failed to obey their own commitment, said the announcement.
Consequently, NAB arrested Mr Ahmad to recover the money through legal process, it added. —APP
