Eight convicted in Chamaulang mine case

QUETTA: An ATC on Tuesday convicted eight men in three different cases and sentenced them to rigorous imprisonment.
Judge Shaukat Ali Rakhshani in his verdict on the Chamaulang land mines explosion case, sentenced each of the eight accused to nine years rigorous imprisonment. He also fined each of the accused Rs 100,000. Those sentenced were Wadera Karim Bakhsh, Kamal Khan son of Mehrab Khan, and Kamal Khan son of Shama Khan. The others convicted are Gulzar Khan, Abdullah Jan, Jafer Khan, Muhammad Usman, and Raza Khan. They were all sentenced to five years imprisonment and Rs 50,000 fine under section 7b, one and a half years imprisonment and Rs 20,000 fine under section 7h and three years imprisonment and Rs 30,000 fine under section 13e.
The convicted men were charged with involvement in the explosion of a landmine in Chamaulang area of Loralai injuring an army officer and personnel of para military forces.
