‘No chance of governor’s rule’

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of imposition of governor’s rule in Sindh after a series of terrorist acts in the province.
Talking to journalists he admitted that the law and order situation in the province was very tense. The interior minister said that a security plan finalised by president would soon be implemented in Sindh. He said that the federal government had offered total support to Sindh to arrest terrorists and maintain peace.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Ali Muhammad Maher told reporters that drastic changes in the provincial administration would be made soon, NNI reported. Asked about rumours of his replacement, Mr Maher said, “I don’t know about any change at this level.”
