Hayat orders police action on businessman’s murder

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat took serious note on Tuesday of the kidnapping and murder of Islamabad businessman Faisal Akhter and has directed the Islamabad senior superintendent of police and the Rawalpindi district police officer to submit a report on the incident within a week, police | sources said.

The minister has also directed high-ranking police officers of the twin cities to determine which concerned police officials failed to actively look for the culprits, police sources said.

Rawalpindi Range Deputy Inspector General of Police Chaudhry Ifthikar Ahmed called a meeting of the high-ranking police officials on Tuesday to discuss the case and investigation, sources said.
