22nd Rotaract moot starts today
KARACHI: The Rotaract Club of Karachi Metropolitan will hold its 22nd Annual Rotaract Conference on “Peace for progress” here today (May 2 to May 4). About 1,000 participants from all over Pakistan including members of Rotary-Rotaract-Innerwheel Clubs, heads of local and MNCs, diplomats, government officials, intellectuals and journalists will attend.
Lt Gen (r) Moinuddin Haider, Dr Ishrat Hussain, Dr Ashfaq Khan, Mr Riaz Malik, Mr Shaukat Tarin, Dr Arshad Zaman, Barrister Shahida Jameel, Senator Nisar A Memon, Mr Danial Aziz, Mr Naimatullah Khan, Justice (r) Nasir Aslam Zahid, Mr Imran Khan and Mr Arshad Zubairi will addressing sessions on education, role of media, economic strategies and good governance.
Many interesting events such as talent-hunt, fellowship, picnic, peace concert and cultural evening are planned on the sidelines of the conference. A day will be dedicated for Rotract’s internal business.
Fostering leadership and responsible citizenship, Rotaract is a programme of the Rotary International. All Rotaract Clubs work under their local Rotary Clubs.
Today, there are over 1,50,000 members in more than 160 countries and 6,750 clubs united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world. —PR
