Police arrests six robbers including woman

LAHORE: Police on Thursday arrested six members including a woman of three gangs involved in robberies, motorcycle and rickshaw theft.

According to an official hand out issued here, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Chaudhry Shafqat Ahmad had set up police teams to curb motorcycle and rickshaw theft.

One of the teams arrested two robbers Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Boota and recovered two rickshaws (LXC-3983) and (LRC-9849) and two motorcycles (LXB-5640) and (LOR-2756) from their possession. The accused used to chop the vehicles and sell their parts in Bilal Gung.

Meanwhile, one team of Harbancepura Police arrested two men Muhammad Shahbaz and Shahzad alias Bhie and a woman Safia in connection with motorcycle and rickshaw theft.

Likewise, a Shalimar Police team also arrested gang-leader Muhammad Shahid and recovered gold ornaments and two cellular phones from his possession.

The accused confessed to 10 robberies that the gang committed in Harbancepura, Mughalpura and Shalimar Police's jurisdiction.
