PML-QA dissidents dissatisfied with government performance
Staff Report
LAHORE: PML-QA dissidents Mian Muhammad Azhar, Begum Abida Hussain and Fakhar Imam on Thursday expressed their dissatisfaction over the government's performance and urged assembly members to resolve the people's problems before the masses came out on the streets and deposed the government.
In an informal meeting here, the PML-QA leaders said instead of taking all parliamentarians into confidence, the ruling party was making all decisions on its own. This type of attitude only created a gulf between the government and parliamentarians, they added. While expressing their dissatisfaction on the government's six-month performance, they said the government failed to adopt positive legislation and measures for Pakistan's economic development.
Mian Azhar said the government had not fulfilled any of their commitments made to the people during the election campaign and this had resulted in the disillusionment of the PML-QA workers in their leaders.
He urged the government to follow its manifesto that was meant to bring revolutionary changes in the country. The government could not strengthen their power tenure through the postings and transfers of officers and it must fulfil the promises made to the people for a stable government.
