276 troops leave for Congo
LAHORE: The last batch of Pakistani peacekeeping troops left Lahore for Congo to join the United Nations peace mission on Saturday. A thousand Pakistani troops are taking part in the UN mission. The batch of 276 troops will take part in construction, repair and rehabilitation activities in the war torn country. Prior to their departure, Brigadier Shahid Zahoor said that Pakistani troops had earned international acclaim for their professional norms. He urged the troops to represent the country by maintaining high professional standards and ethical values.
