Advani due on 30th

LAHORE: Bharatiya Janata Party president LK Advani will visit Pakistan for a week from May 30 and meet President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and leaders of various opposition parties, reported the Press Trust of India.

Advani, who visited Pakistan in the late 70s as India’s Information and Broadcasting Minister, will visit Lahore, Karachi, Hyderabad and Islamabad. Advani was earlier scheduled to visit Pakistan during the recess of the Indian Budget session but postponed it because of his party’s silver jubilee national council and national executive meetings in Delhi. BJP vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that Advani’s visit would boost the India-Pakistan peace process.
