Law reforms bill tabled in National Assembly
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Law and Justice Muhammad Wasi Zafar introduced a bill in the National Assembly to amend the Law Reforms Bill-2005 further.
Sardar Nasrullah Dreshak, chairman of the Standing Committee on Rules, Procedure and Privilege, presented the committee’s report in the assembly on the question of privilege raised by MNA Muhammad Laeeq Khan against the Sharifabad (Karachi) station house officer.
Health Minister Muhammad Naseer Khan told the house that 35 pharmaceutical companies were given approval to manufacture medicines. Responding to an attention notice, the minister said the pharmaceutical companies were given licenses on merit and were not violating the Drugs Act. He said it was the first time in Pakistan’s history that 35 companies were approved to manufacture medicines.
The attention notice was moved by Syeda Farhana Khalid Banoori, Dr Farida Ahmed Siddiqui, Nayyer Sultana and Shahida Akhtar Ali. app
