Yasir bowls KRL to massive win over B’desh A
KARACHI: All-rounder Yasir Arafat bowled Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) to an emphatic eight-wicket victory over Bangladesh A in the Patron’s Cup at the UBL Sports Complex here on Sunday.
Paceman Yasir took four wickets for 20 runs in 10 overs as Bangladesh A were restricted to 189 for eight wickets in 50 overs.
Yasir destroyed the Bangladesh batting line up in a fiery 17-ball spell, removing Monir-uz-Zaman (9), Nasir Farooq (11), Jamaluddin (0) and Mossdek (0) to reduce the visiting team to 56 for six. Anawar Hossain and Tushar Imran added 95 runs for the seventh wicket.
KRL, in reply, reached the target for the loss of two wickets. Saeed Anwar Junior hit an unbeaten knock of 63 off 76 balls with seven fours and a six. Saeed Bin Nasir smashed 31 not out off 24 balls. Muhammad Ramzan made 56 with five boundaries after having faced 87 deliveries.
