Shujaat demands Faisal Saleh’s resignation?
ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League Parliamentary leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain demanded President Musharraf ask Federal Minister on Kashmir Affairs Faisal Saleh Hayat to resign, on Friday. Shujaat reportedly claimed that Mr Hayat was levelling baseless accusations against him and was creating a situation of uncertainty within the government, said Online’s sources. He said that some members of the Pakistan People’s Party have accused Mr Hayat of corruption and this was damaging the reputation of the current government. Sources said President Musharraf agreed with Shujaat and assured him that he would talk to Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz in this regard. The government is being criticised over the allegations that have been levelled by Mr Hayat, this has disturbed President Musharraf and Shujaat, said sources. However, there was no independent confirmation of Mr Hussain’s talk to the president for Mr Hayat’s resignation. online
