Pakistan frees two Indian juveniles
LAHORE: Security forces freed two Indian children on Tuesday, five months after they mistakenly crossed into Azad Kashmir, an official said.
Shabir Ahmed, 12, and Ilam Din, 13, were taken into custody in March after entering Pakistani territory from Indian held Kashmir, said Capt Abdul Rauf.
On Tuesday, the boys were handed over to Indian officials at Wagah. The release of the boys came a week after Pakistan and India exchanged prisoners — part of a recent thaw in relations between the nuclear-armed rivals. ap
