Saudi police find missing car rigged with explosives
RIYADH: Saudi police on Saturday found a car rigged with explosives they had been looking for since February, officials said.
The vehicle was seized in the Al-Sley neighborhood in eastern Riyadh, a security source said.
An interior ministry official told the SPA news agency the GMC Suburban was “rigged with a quantity of explosives, and it was secured,” meaning the explosives were defused.
Details would be released later, he said.
The interior ministry had warned residents of Riyadh on February 13 that the car laden with explosives and registered to a wanted suspect could be used in an attack. —AFPs
