Four killed in accident on Bund Road

LAHORE: A man named Ghulam Shabbir and his three little nieces were killed when a rashly driven truck ran over their motorcycle on Bund Road near Shadbagh on Sunday. His nieces were identified as Ishrat Idrees, 6, Aqsa Idrees, 4, and Adiba Idrees, 2. People held the truck driver, Muhammad Aslam, who was trying to escape from the scene, beat him up and tried to torch his truck. Senior police officers reached the scene and took the driver to the Shadbagh police station, but an angry mob reached the police station and demanded the driver be punished.
