21 Chinese die as bus falls into lake

BEIJING: A bus carrying pilgrims to a temple in eastern China plunged into a lake, killing 21, the official Xinhua news agency said on Wednesday.

The accident near the city of Xinyu in Jiangxi province occurred when the bus swerved to avoid another vehicle shortly after midnight, the agency said. Eight people survived, it said. reuters
