PM grieves over bus accident

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali expressed grief over a bus accident on the Islamabad Highway on Wednesday in which 40 people died and 20 others were injured.

The prime minister directed the authorities concerned to provide maximum medical assistance to the injured and ordered the police to investigate the cause of the accident so that such incidents could be avoided in the future.

The prime minister expressed sympathy for the families of the deceased.

Federal Health Minister Naseer Khan visited the injured at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences on Wednesday.

The accident took place because the bus fell into Sawan Nala after colliding with a tractor on Wednesday morning. app/online
