Petroleum prices unchanged: OCAC

KARACHI: The Oil Companies Advisory Committee on Monday left petroleum prices unchanged due to a declining trend in prices in the international oil market, according to an OCAC statement.

Petrol is selling at Rs 45.5, HOBC at Rs 50.5, kerosene at Rs 27.98 and light diesel oil at Rs 26.39. The Pakistan State Oil (PSO) also kept the price of high-speed diesel unchanged at Rs 29.06 per litre. The OCAC statement said, “The petroleum prices showed a declining trend in the international market in the last 15 days. However, the oil prices in the international market are still higher than they were during March 1-15 when the government had decided to freeze the oil prices at current levels.

The oil marketing companies, during the current fortnight, once again continue to subsidise the prices of diesel by Rs 3.59 per litre, kerosene by Rs 5.44 per litre and light diesel oil by Rs 3.25 per litre and will be claiming the same from the government of Pakistan as price differential claim. staff report
