Musharraf summons NA session on 23rd

ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf had summoned a National Assembly session for February 23.

The session was earlier summoned for February 21, but it was postponed for two days because of Muharram.

The session will be held on February 23 at 5 pm and will continue for one month to discuss important issues.

The opposition parties will move several adjournment motions on the situation in Balochistan.

The government will face difficulty during the session because of the formation of a grand alliance between the ARD and MMA. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Chaudhry Shujaat have asked ministers to maintain house quorum. The ministers will be responsible for ensuring the presence of the MNAs from their divisions. nni
