Election plea against Kasuri adjourned

LAHORE: Justice Syed Jamshed Ali of the Lahore High Court (LHC) adjourned the hearing of a petition seeking the disqualification of Foreign minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri till March 1.

The hearing was adjourned because Nazir Ahmed Ghazi, the petitioner’s counsel, informed the court that he was busy with the Lahore High Court Bar elections.

Petitioner Maulana Moinuddin Lakhvi, a losing candidate from NA-140 in the last general elections, alleged that he lost the elections because 1,349 votes in his favour were cancelled. staff report
