16 killed in 2 van accidents
ABBOTTABAD: Sixteen people have been killed in two accidents involving vans in the last two days.
Twelve people were killed and one seriously hurt when a Toyota van travelling from Thandiani to Rawalpindi fell into a ravine 800 feet deep near Abbottabad. The passengers were on their way to Thandiani for a holiday. Police registered a case. At least four people were killed and ten injured when a speeding bus overturned in Rakhni, Balochistan. Two of the dead were identified as Ahmed Khan and Ghulam Khan. The others are yet to be identified. The injured were admitted to local hospitals. online
Gool Rustamji passes away
QUETTA: Former National Assembly member Gool Rustamji died on Monday morning and was buried in the Parsi Graveyard. She was 92. Ms Rustamji, who was also a former editor of Quetta Times, belonged to famous philanthropist Parsi family of Quetta. Her family was the pioneer of the English printing press and English language journalism in Balochistan since 1888. app
