Wedding dispute claims 7 lives

QUETTA: A man killed his wife, son and five other close relatives in anger over a wedding dispute family in a village near the hometown of Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali on Saturday, officials said. Three people said to be relatives of the deceased stayed the night with their hosts in Goth Mubarak Qambrani, a village near Prime Minister Jamali’s hometown of Dera Murad Jamali. They killed at least seven people including two women and a child early on Saturday morning. District Coordination Office Khalid Hanif told Daily Times a wedding dispute was apparently behind the killings. Witnesses said the victims and the killers were related by marriage. —Staff Report
