NA, PML discuss merger plan
LAHORE National Alliance (NA) and Pakistan Muslim League (PML) leaders met on Saturday to finalise the merger plan of the two parties. In a three-hour long meeting, Senator Muhammad Ali Durrani representing the NA and Senator Kamil Ali Agha representing the PML, discussed the various aspects of the merger. They agreed that an NA executive committee meeting would be held on May 19, in which leaders from the PML would also participate. The Millat Party’s national council would also meet on May 18 to get approval for the merger. Both leaders were hoping that the merger would strengthen the democratic process in the country. staff report
