Pakistan to supply power to Afghanistan

KABUL: Pakistan is to provide power for the southern Afghan provinces, Mohammad Shaker Kargar, Afghan minister of water and power has said. The minister discussed the issue with the Pakistani envoy, Rustam Shah Mohmand in Kabul, radio Kabul has reported. The Pakistani ambassador also said that his country would send a group of power experts to the southern provinces of Afghanistan. The group will go to the south of Afghanistan to cooperate with the Afghan Water and Power Ministry experts in assessing conditions for the implementation of a document on supplying power from Pakistan to Afghanistan. —SANA
