Mowahid urges Muslims to unite

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister’s Adviser Mowahid Hussain Shah said on Wednesday that Muslims should unite and reorganise themselves to fight conspiracies against them.

Mr Shah was addressing at a seminar on ‘Perception of Islam in the West” at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He said Indian Americans had started working closely with pro-Israeli groups to weaken Muslim states. “Such people take advantage of our infighting.

Therefore Islamic countries should reorganize at one platform to combat such threats,” he added. Former senator Shafaqat Mahmood, LUMS founder Syed Babar Ali, Member Provincial Assembly Sughra Imam, journalists Khalid Ahmad and Ahmad Rasheed attended the seminar. —Staff Report
