Nasrullah calls ARD, APC meetings
Staff Report
LAHORE: Chief of the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan called on an important meeting of the heads of the alliance and All Parties Conference (APC) on January 29 and 30 respectively.
Mr Khan told newsmen that issues likely to be discussed in the meetings are the INS restrictions for the US-based Pakistanis, Senate elections and political situation and the US-Iraq stand off.
He said the decision of calling the two meetings was taken after consultation with the opposition parties. He was of the view that the government had failed to protect the right of the Pakistani nationals in the United States and feared that thousands of Pakistanis might be deported from the US.
“The possible US attack on Iraq is another important matter on which all political parties are united and would take a unanimous stand against the US,” he said.
The ARD chief while condemning the alleged rigging in the by-election said the government wanted to win by every hook or by crook.
