PML-N will observe ‘Youme Takbir’ on 28th
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced it will observe ‘Youm e Takbir’ on May 28 to commemorate the nuclear tests carried out by Pakistan during the tenure of Mian Nawaz Sharif.
At a meeting held on Friday, the party also decided to hold a public meeting at Shamsabad in Rawalpindi and to constitute a committee to make arrangements for the meeting, said a press statement issued by the party’s central secretariat.
The meeting passed a resolution condemning what it deemed the government’s duel policy on nuclear assets and the house arrest of Dr Abdul Qadir Khan. It also condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran at Guantanamo Bay and police torture to party workers, including female workers on May 11, the statement said. staff report
