US releases three Pakistanis jailed in Guantanamo

ISLAMABAD: The United States has handed over three Pakistanis detained in Guantanamo Bay to Pakistan on May 8.

According to a press release by the interior ministry, the three are Jehan Wali, from the NWF, Shah Muhammad, also from the same province, and Sahibzada Usman Ali, Punjab. After medical check-up, the three will be handed over to concerned provincial governments which will escort them to their homes. With these three Pakistanis, the total number of Pakistanis released from Guantanamo Bay comes to four. —AP
