Pakistan refuses visa to Tipu Sultan’s descendant

WASHINGTON: A great grand daughter of the Muslim hero Tipu Sultan was denied a visa to visit Pakistan by the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.
According to the Stockholm-based website Asiapeace which is operated by the Pakistani academic and Daily Times writer Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed, the lady, a grandmother, wanted to visit Karachi. She put up in a Delhi hotel for two months along with her sons, daughters and grandchildren waiting for a visa that would enable her to attend the wedding of her only Pakistan-based grand daughter.
