Youth festival to promote creative opportunities

LAHORE: The Young Performers Festival will promote creative opportunities, competition, tolerance, mutual respect, friendship and sportsmanship among children, said Syed Raza Ali Gillani, the Punjab Housing minister.
Mr Gillani was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 7-day Young Performers Festivals held by the Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) at Al-Hamra Cultural Complex on Monday. Shabbir Ahmed, the director general of PHA, PHA officials and many other people attended the ceremony.
Mr Gillani said that by holding the festival, the PHA had set a new trend for creating opportunities for children. He said the festival aimed to explore the physical, mental and hidden qualities of the students. He added that extra-curricular activities would help the younger generation to build their character and face future challenges. He said the government was providing relief to the common man.
