Commonwealth parliamentary delegation in Lahore

LAHORE: A nine member delegation of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, UK Branch, led by Tom Cox, arrived in Lahore on Saturday for a two day visit. The delegation during its stay will call on Punjab Assembly Speaker Muhammad Afzal Sahi in the assembly chambers on Sunday. Earlier, in the afternoon, they will witness the world polo cup qualifying match between Pakistan and India at the Polo Ground. On Monday, the delegation will call on Punjab Governor Lt Gen (r) Khalid Maqbool. Later the members will proceed to the Administrative Staff College to attend a discussion on the role of parliament in policy making. —Staff Report
