4 die in road accidents

ISLAMABAD: Four people were killed and three others were injured in separate road accidents in Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Monday evening.

The first incident took place on Islamabad Highway when a speeding car hit two sisters who were crossing the road near Dhoke Kala Kahn, close to the Secretariat Police Station.

Sisters Ayesha and Kaynat, from Dhoke Kala Khan, were returning home from shopping when the car killed them.

A pedestrian was knocked down by a speeding van near the Tarnol Railway Crossing. Muhammad Akber, from Sangjani, was on his way home when the van hit him.

Van driver Muhammad Ramazan was killed and three others were injured when the van overturned near Westarage while overtaking another vehicle. —Staff Report
