150 illegal plane passengers in August

ISLAMABAD: Syed Kaleem Imam, the deputy director of Immigration, said that more than 150 passengers were offloaded from international flights for incomplete travel documents during August, and the immigration officials at the Islamabad airport registered 17 human trafficking cases, none of which involved any official of the department.
He said that the offloaded passengers included those without visas, with expired or inappropriate visas, government servants without NOCs, and parents without proper endorsement of their children on their documents. The deputy director said that 22 passengers with stolen passports or Interpol citations were arrested and sent to the FIA Passport Cell.
