Madr-e-Millat Train leaves for Rawalpindi
LAHORE: A decorated Madr-e-Millat Train on Monday left for Rawalpindi, from where it will start a 29-day countrywide tour on August 14 to celebrate the 57th Independence Day of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Zaffarullah Jamali will inaugurate the tour at the Rawalpindi Railway Station on August 14. The train will reach Lahore on August 23, Karachi on the 29th and Chaman on September 10. On August 23, at the arrival of the Mader-a-Millat Train in Lahore, Railways Regional Headquarters will arrange a colorful function at which Railways Board Chairman Khurshid Ahmad Khan will be the chief guest.
Cultural shows will be arranged in Taxila Cantt and Peshawar on the train’s arrival on August 17.
The train will stop at Jhelum, Gujrat, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Multan, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Mirpur Mithlow, Khairpur, Nawabshah, Tando Adam, Hyderabad, Karachi, Dado, Larkana, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Dera Murad Jamali, Sibbi, Mach, Chaman and Quetta.
