Three Najfi-murder suspects arrested

LAHORE: Rana Munawar, superintendent of police for Organised Crime, and his squad have apprehended Ali Sher, Sheikh Hakim Ali and Dr Khadim Hussain, who are suspected of murdering Mulana Najfi. Najfi was gunned down by unidentified men in Liaqatabad police jurisdiction on April 1. The men are being interrogated.

Data Gunj Baksh Town nazim’s car stolen: A car belonging to the Data Gunj Baksh Town nazim, Tariq Sana Bajwa, was stolen outside Race Course Park on Tuesday.

He said that he had parked his car near the Race Course Park parking lot and was inspecting the area for encroachments. Station house officer Waseem said that investigations were underway.

Train runs over man: A man was run over by a train in Kahna police jurisdiction on Wednesday. The unidentified 30-year-old was crossing the railway lines when the train ran him over. He was taken to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The body was sent for an autopsy.

Man dies of moonshine: A man died after drinking moonshine in Nawankot police jurisdiction. Zaheer Ahmed, 30, drank the adulterated alcohol with his friends. He fell unconscious and was taken to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The body was given to his family.

Man found dead: A man was found dead in South Cantt police jurisdiction. His body has been sent for an autopsy.
