Five Shahdara shootout suspects still at large
LAHORE: The bodies of two dacoits who were killed in a police encounter in the Shahdara area on Tuesday have been given to their families after autopsies. However, their accomplices are still at large.
Seven unidentified men entered the house of Ghulam Haider near Saggian Bridge. They took cash and jewellery. The family started screaming for help, which alerted the neighbourhood security guards. The security guards and dacoits started shooting at each other. Shahdara police reached the scene and joined the shootout. Two dacoits, identified as Shaukat Ali and Rafiq, were killed while the other five escaped. staff report
